Luke 12:25-26 And which of you with taking thought can add to his stature one cubit? If ye then be not able to do that thing which is least, why take ye thought for the rest?

2 Corinthians 10:4-5 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.

The mind is the greatest asset given to us to continue work of creation here on earth. Therefore the changing of your situation begins in the mind. However, the greatest battle field battle field in man’s life is the mind. The mind is the reasoning faculty of man; it is the centre of decision or intellect of a person. It is the entry point into a person’s life. Battles are either won or lose, in the mind; the mind can be easily accessed by the devil. This is why the Word of God warns: “Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life” (Proverbs 4:23).

As human beings, we have tripartite nature – spirit, soul and body. Our soul has three realms – the mind, the will and the emotion. For a person to be sound, his/her triune nature must all be sound.
1 Thessalonians 5:23 says: “And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.”

Why the Deliverance of the mind?

• The mind our means of productivity and excellence: The mind is our asset for prosperity and exploits. So there is a need of deliverance of the mind.
• Depression, fear, anxiety and satanic oppression all begin in the mind: The mind is an open door for the devil’s suggestions, attacks, and pollution. The mind can become a legal ground for satanic operations. This is how people have emotionally induced illness or commit suicide (untimely death). So our minds need to be set free for us to move forward. Matthew 15:19-20 says, “For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies: These are the things which defile a man: but to eat with unwashen hands defileth not a man.”
• Polluted mind through the lies of the devil can result in struggling, stagnancy or inability to get to your promise land.
• A wrong mindset cannot approach God nor receive from Him, hence a need for deliverance. According to Romans 8:7 “… the carnal mind is enmity against God…”
• If your mind is not delivered, you can’t be delivered

How do we receive deliverance of the mind?

1. You must be born again – deliverance is for only those who have given their lives to Jesus Christ. Salvation is the first step to deliverance.
2. Your mindset must change: your beliefs or a way of thinking determines your behaviour and outlook. Matthew 12:35, says: “A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things.”
   James 1:21, 22 also says: “Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls. But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.”
   We change our mindset by continuously reading, studying, meditating and applying God’s Word on daily basis to our lives. Proverbs 11:9 says: “…but through knowledge shall the just be delivered.”
3. You must avoid Negative thoughts by thinking the scriptures. Philippians 4:8: “Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.” God is big, think and act big. Thoughts plus Actions = Behaviour. What you think is what you become (Proverbs. 23:7). So develop scriptural self-talk, what you tells oneself, will influence the way you feel and behave. Romans 10:10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
4. Keep Good Association: Keep the right company with Godly-minded people. Positive attracts positive. 1 Corinthinas 15:33: “Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.” If your friends are drunks you will remain a drunk and die as a drunk, save yourself, come out of them!
5. Pray aggressively for your deliverance – through aggressive deliverance prayers, we cast down wrong imaginations. 2 Corinthians 10:5 says, “Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.” Aggressive prayers address the satanic voices that speak to the mind.

Prayer Points:

1. Blood of Jesus saturate and cleans my mind, in the name of Jesus.
2. Every stronghold of the mind in my life, scatter by fire, in the name of Jesus.
3. Internal battle, terminate now, in the name of Jesus.
4. Evil thought, tormenting me, dry up to your root, in the name of Jesus.
5. I silence every lie of the devil in my mind, in the name of Jesus.
6. Evil voice speaking to my mind, be silence and die, in the name of Jesus.
7. Witchcraft imagination in my life, scatter, in the name of Jesus.
8. Witchcraft plantation, come out with all your roots, in the name of Jesus.
9. Every battle of the mind, assigned to kill me, terminate and die, in the name of Jesus.
10. Depression in my life, die now, in the name of Jesus.
11. Every problem that entered into my life through my mind, die, in the name of Jesus.
12. Powers dominating and controlling me from my mind, be roasted by fire now, in the name of Jesus.
13. My mind, receive power for productivity, in the name of Jesus.
